The Ataoja of Osogbo, HRM Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun (Larooye II) has congratulates the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke on his victory at the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday affirmed Adeleke's election as governor of Osun State, putting to rest all disputes and controversies surrounding the state's governorship election.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Royal Father and made available to the newsmen in Osogbo, the state capital.
He described the court ruling as a victory for democracy and the people of Osun, adding that it is a boost for Governor Ademola Adeleke to continue to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
According to him "The unanimous decision of the five-member panel of the highest court in the land has cleared any doubt on the victory of the Governor in the election".
“This is a victory for democracy, the rule of law, the People Democratic Party and the good people of Osun State.
“The Governor should be magnanimous in victory and see his mandate as a call to serve his people conscientiously and to the best of his ability".
He wished Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke a successful tenure in office.
He also praised the Nigerian Judiciary for reasserting itself as a sacred chapel for judicious resolution of disputes.
