Worried by the diatribe and hogwash against the urbane, gentle and focused immediate-past Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola that emanated from the desk of one Diran Odeyemi who has been battling the battle of his life to remain afloat and counted worthy for recognition and reward in the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke, the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused the perennial treacherous former National Deputy Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of being a busy body who is bereft of how to invest his time on profitable ventures.
The Osun State Acting Chairman of the APC, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in his response personally signed by him to the unsolicited letter, written to ex-Governor Oyetola wondered the motive of the letter if not self-serving and a ploy to feign his apparently continuous non-existing loyalty to Adeleke who has substantial reasons to be wary of allowing Odeyemi, the notorious letter writer and controversial prince from Obokun axis of the state, from forging a closer affinity with the governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
The basis for the Odeyemi perfidious letter is to cury undeserved favour from the Adelekes. This is someone who has never contested for any election in the state and may not likely contest one in his lifetime. It is unfortunate that he has allowed himself to dance naked in the market square by taking up the gauntlet against Oyetola who has the grace and honour to be counted as one of the past governors of the state with a track record of performance.
The ever-treacherous Odeyemi could still warm himself back into the embrace of the Adelekes who have been keeping him at an arm's length for obvious fear of falling victims of his known attributes of backbiting and biting the fingers that fed him without necessarily turning himself into a perpetual emissary of rift.
Odeyemi with his tirade against Oyetola could in his stupidly written letter be likened to an indisciplined child who defecates on a footpath which engenders heaping of all manner of curses on his innocent parents by the passersby!
It is known in the parlance of those who are upwardly mobile that Oyetola had not broken any known law of the land for fighting his political battle up to the apex court in the land. Rather, the renowned financial engineer who successfully paddled the canoe of the state for four solid years deserves commendation instead of condemnation by one Diran Odeyemi who is known to be a cause of schisms wherever he finds himself.
Odeyemi who behaves like an educated-illiterate should be told point blank that with the landmark judgement by the Supreme Court on the Osun State governorship logjam, Oyetola has added to the body of knowledge in the legal profession in Nigeria and beyond.
One may be forced to inquire from the busy-body Odeyemi his business with the approach of the Supreme Court by Oyetola over the governorship tussle when the source of the funding of the litigation was not in any way from him or any member of his family or political party where he has become a pariah human being because of his knack for treachery.
When it is not Oyetola that is behind your not being trusted in the PDP circle especially in the Ede country home because of your unenviable antecedents that are preventing you from being considered for the position of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), a commissioner or the spokesman for Governor Adeleke, why should you be writing the type of letter you couldn't write to your parents or any senior member of your immediate or nuclear family to Oyetola?
The way and manner you broke a lance with the former late Oyo State Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala who, out of magnanimity, dignified you with the post of a Special Adviser in his government is still fresh in the memory of the discerning members of the society.
How you exhibited the trait of a pathological ingrate to the National Secretary of the APC, Senator Iyiola Omisore, who made you the General Manager of Crown Fm Radio and later facilitated your becoming the National Deputy Publicity Secretary of your party, can not be easily forgotten.
That you are an ingrate is not a subject of debate as there are various instances to back up this your ignoble attribute which is the reason why you have been limited in your political pursuit as anyone who hobnobs with you whether politically, socially and commercially does so at his irredeemable peril.
It will be interesting to ask the emergency letter writer in Odeyemi who is voraciously seeking a way to relaunch himself back to the Adelekes why he did not deem it fit to advise Governor Adeleke not to pursue his governorship election petition litigation up to the Supreme Court level in 2018.
Odeyemi should save his ink and saliva perchance he may be considered worthy for any nominal appointment in the Adeleke administration which is the reason he has been contracting out the writing of obnoxious letters that have done more damage to his image and personality than what he has been trying to push out in order to needlessly denigrate an accomplished former Osun State Governor Oyetola.
If Odeyemi is less busy and has nothing tangible to do with his time, it's advisable he takes an advantage of his closeness to the nature by engaging in farming in his adopted Obokun hometown where large expanse of farmlands are crying for cultivation instead of playing the role of a meddlesome interloper in order to curry unmerited favour from the current possessor of the yam and the knife in the statutory cake of the state.
It would also not be out of tune for Odeyemi to create a quality portion of his time to settle his age-long contentious paternity issue which is the reason why it's difficult to believe if his own Odeyemi is that of Obokun or Ile-Ife.
Granted that Oyetola lost the Osun State governorship election according to the decision of the Supreme Court. And so what? The former governor would not be the first and the last to lose a governorship election. It's on record that Oyetola lost the election with his integrity intact whether as a responsible family man, a consumate political leader and an accomplished team player in all ramifications.
Having finally done with the litigation segment which is a constitutionally-allowed integral part of an election into the governorship seat of a state, it is instructive and advisable for the Adelekes and the PDP leadership in the state to be wary of a very dangerous character like Diran Odeyemi who is a specialist in commercial politics and politicking.
The handlers of Governor Adeleke should strive as much as possible to effect the keeping of a far distance of the governor from Odeyemi because he is an incurable human contaminant. In fact, the downfall of this administration is his priority as he was known to have done in the past.
