The Chairman of the All Progressive Congress Switzerland Chapter, Amb. Adebayo Alfonso as felicitated with its members and all Muslims in Nigeria and the Diaspora over Eid-el-Kabir celebration, even as he urged Muslims all over the country to uphold the virtues of Prophet Muhammed (SAW) and sustain the holiness which characterised his conduct.
The Chairman said this in a message issued by him, calling on Nigerians to unite in love and use the celebration to pray for the successful administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Alfonso rallied the people to overcome their fears and anxieties and rather, embrace resolves to move forward to build a country where goals and aspirations were met, urging them to remember the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) which encouraged the strong commitment to the development of their society.
The Chairman said: “The teachings by the holy prophet is that the Eid-el-Kabir afford us the opportunity to share the love with all including the less privileged, which are core basis towards a better society and we must hearken to them jealously.”
Speaking further, he said: “Though it’s a moment of celebration we need to remind ourselves to imbibe the culture of tolerance and selfless service to humanity as the holy prophet had encouraged us.”
While wishing its members, the good people of Nigeria and the entire Muslim community a Happy Eid-el-Kabir celebration, He enjoined all Nigerians to re-dedicate themselves to the development of the country as they reflected on the ideals and teachings of Allah.
