Immediate past Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola has felicitated the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdul-Rasheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu 1, on the occasion of his birthday anniversary.
Oyetola, in a congratulatory message personally signed by him, extolled the revered monarch for his immeasurable contributions to the growth and development of the state in general and those of his subjects in particular.
The former governor described the traditional ruler as a courageous leader, symbol of peace, unity and cohesion whose reign has brought monumental developments to the ancient town and its environs.
He particularly hailed the revered traditional ruler for his avowed commitment and compassion to the welfare and general wellbeing of his subjects which in turn endeared him more to them since the ascension of the throne.
"On behalf of myself and my family, I join family, friends, associates and well-wishers across the globe to felicitate the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdul-Rasheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu 1 on the occasion of his birthday anniversary.
"I pray that Almighty Allah's continued divine wisdom, knowledge and guidance be upon your life just as I pray to Him to grant you long life in sound health in the service of your subjects and the state,” Oyetola said.
