The Support Group canvassing for the emergence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the last Presidential election in Nigeria, Teni-N-Teni has urged the News Media in Nigeria to confirm the source of the News they want to publish before spreading unconfirmed information which can generate rancor if not properly handle.
This was contained a statement made available to the newsmen in Osogbo, by the Osun State Coordinator of the group, Hon. Taiwo Bakare who condemned the act of some news media alleging the Federal Government of Increasing the Salary for President, Vice President, and other Political Office Holders to 114% which was confirmed as false.
According to him"The news media spreading such lies and unconfirmed information should be sanctioned to serve as a deterrent to others who are planning to tarnish the image of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressive Congress".
"The President has been doing wonderfully well since his assumption and the Nigerians have been appreciating his zeal and his decision-making so far by evacuating those who are drying Nigeria's wealth and using it for their gains".
"The President has been creating solutions to Nigerian Problems and the problem have been solved gradually".
"The President means business in helping Nigerians out of bondage and creating an enabling environment for the Nigerian's home and abroad, the country we can all be proud of".
"The news media spreading false information should caution themselves and they should not agree to be used by the enemies of the country." Bakare asserted.
