Operatives of Osun Amotekun Corps arrested a young man, Olaniran Oladosu, a 17 year old indigene of Eko-ende for attempted robbery and stealing.
He was arrested at about 5:54 a.m.. on Friday following an allegation of attempting to hijack a motorcycle and then steal a bag in the capital area of Osogbo, Osun State.
The attention of the Amotekun operatives on a routine patrol was drawn to the act by the victim after which the operatives swiftly swung into action and arrested the suspect at the spot where the alleged act was perpetrated.
The exhibit found in his possession are set of Spanners, Propeller, and Chisel.
Confirming the arrest, the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi said the suspect was arrested for attempted robbery and stealing at about 5:54 am during a routine patrol of the capital area in Osogbo after a complaint was lodged against him.
Upon investigation, the suspect confessed to perpetrating the act; Adewinmbi asserted.
The suspect has been handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution by a competent court of law.
