President Tinubu's Emergence As ECOWAS Chairman will build a stronger and better West Africa, Says Adebayo Alfonso.



The Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Switzerland Chapter and CEO of Alfonso Group, Switzerland, Amb. Adebayo Alfonso has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his emergence as the new Chairman of Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).


President Tinubu’s emergence was announced at the 63rd Ordinary Session of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS, as he succeeds President Umaro Embalo of Guinea Bissau. 


This was contained in a congratulatory message issued on Tuesday by its Chairman, Amb. Adebayo Alfonso, described President Tinubu's emergence as a fresh beginning for the union. 


The chairman emphasized that  the new helmsman will do everything humanly possible to uphold the sanctity of good governance, ensure peace and stability, as well as build a stronger and better West Africa. 


"Another hope has been renewed as the leader of our dear nation, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, was elected as the new Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) at the 63rd Ordinary Session of the union held in Bissau, Guinea Bissau, on July 9, 2023.


"This historic development marks a fresh beginning for the West African sub region. This is set to be the best time for Nigeria and other countries that make up ECOWAS.


"The leadership and members of APC Switzerland Chapter is confident that soon, citizens of all member nations of the group will have reasons to rejoice.


"President Tinubu will build a stronger and better West Africa with his wealth of experience as a political leader.


"We wish the new ECOWAS Chairman well in the task ahead." Adebayo Alfonso asserted.
