Amotekun Arrests Serial Burglar in Osun

Operatives of Osun Amotekun Corps have arrested a young man Akeem Afeez, 25 years old, from Ede, Osun State for burgling and stealing at a company at Oogi Town in Ayedaade Local Government Area of Osun State.

The suspect who specializes in House Burgling and stealing was arrested by the operatives of Amotekun at Oogi, Osun State after a complaint was lodged at Irewole Area Command on the attack of the suspect, The operatives swung into action and were able to apprehend him on the spot.

The items found on him are, an Electric Motor, a Vibrator, 1 Pumping Machine, Long length cable wire, and 13 pieces of Tap cap.

Confirming the arrest to newsmen in Osogbo, the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi said the suspect was arrested at Oogi where he burgled and stole from Afripower Company Nig. Ltd., Oogi Town in Ayedaade LG of Osun State. An earlier complaint had been lodged at the Irewole Area Command of Osun Amotekun on the nefarious activities of the suspect, and the operatives had been on the lookout. Upon getting a signal on this recent activity, the operatives swung into action and were able to apprehend the culprit.

In the course of the investigation, the suspect confessed to committing the act; he went further to say that, it was not his first time of burgling and that he normally sells such items". Adewinmbi said.

The suspect has been handed over to the Nigerian Police for subsequent interrogation and prosecution.
