The leadership of the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has successfully completed its sensitization tour of the 30 local government council areas and the Area Office making up the state with its last visits to Ifedayo, Olorunda and Osogbo Local Government Council Areas of the state on Thursday.
The visits recorded monumental success as usual as the events were turned to mega rallies in both Olorunda and Osogbo Local government council areas while the town hall in Oke-Ila, the venue of the event, was filled beyond capacity by the enthusiastic members and leaders of the party in the constituency.
The kernel of the messages of the state chairman of the APC, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, who led the State Secretary, Alhaji Alao Olabisi Kamoru; the State Treasurer and members of the party's state executive officers, to the events was for the members and leaders of the party to rededicate themselves towards their collective aspiration of constitutionally chasing out the Peoples Democratic Party PDP-led administration from the state through the next elections.
Lawal enjoined all the stakeholders of the party to put behind them what led to the present plight of the APC when the PDP massively rigged the series of the last elections through maximum violence in the state.
The state APC chairman tasked the leaders and members of the party to embrace unity and cooperation with a view to working for a common interest for the improved fortune of the party.
He reminded them that it was important for the stakeholders of the party to be holding regular meetings at all levels of the party in order to reinvigorate the party in their respective constituencies.
Lawal charged the leaders of the party to work on some of the former members who had gone astray but are now genuinely repentant in the spirit of the more, the merrier and that politics is a game of numbers.
He stated that he has been putting in all the efforts constitutionally allowed to attract more members and estranged members back into the main stream of the party in order to ensure the victory of the APC in the future elections.
In his words: "My task is to ensure the victory of all the candidates of our party during the next series of elections in the state through constitutional means.
"I am assuring you that it won't be business as usual as a mechanism shall be put in place to ensure that whoever works assiduously for our party shall be rewarded accordingly.
"We stand a better chance to wrestle this government from the crop of the inexperienced PDP political functionaries who are currently occupying the political theatre of the state without any credential of excellent performance", the state APC chairman stated categorically.
Earlier, the leaders of the APC in all the local government council areas visited had itemized the challenges facing the party in their respective constituencies which Lawal promised to address with dispatch.
