An APC Stalwart, Former Corps Commander Of Osun Amotekun Corps and a Retired Brigadier General of the Nigeria Army and Chairman of Watergate Group of Company, Brig. Gen. Biodun Bashir Adewinmbi has extends deepest condolences to the family, associates, and Osun APC Faithful over the passing of revered APC Leader, Mayegun Debo Badru, who departed this life on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.
In a condolences statement released by the retired senior military officer and APC Stalwart to the newsmen in Osogbo, Adewinmbi described the late Mayegun Debo Badru as an exemplary of humility and dedicated service. He expressed his admiration for the deceased's exceptional ability to bring people together without bitterness, segregation, or hatred.
Adewinmbi praised the outstanding contributions of the Iwo-born politician, whose legacy will leave an indelible mark on his community and political circle.
In his words, "My heartfelt condolences go out to the family of the late Hon. Debo Badru, former Special Adviser to former Osun State Governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola.
"I was deeply saddened to learn of his passing, which comes at a critical time when his presence was most needed.
"Hon. Badru was a true champion of progress, a devoted advocate for liberal democracy, consummate politician and a staunch federalist.
"His absence will be deeply felt by the progressive community in Osun State and Nigeria as a whole. May Almighty Allah grant him eternal rest and provide your family with the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss". Adewinmbi said.
