APC Welcomes Teleola Michael Oyegoke (TMO) and Supporters in Grand Style in Odo-Otin LG, ... as Stakeholders Meet

On Wednesday, December 13th, 2024, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State held a grand event to welcome Mr. Teleola Michael Oyegoke (TMO) and his supporters into the party in Odo-Otin Local Government Area. The event, which took place at Oja-Ale in Inisa, was graced by numerous prominent APC leaders from both the state and local government levels.

The grand reception was led by the State Chairman of the APC, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, who hailed Mr. Teleola's decision to join the party as a significant and positive development for the APC in the region.

Lawal emphasized that Teleola’s entry marks a pivotal moment for the APC, asserting that it signals the waning influence of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, especially in light of the growing defections of PDP members to the APC in the lead-up to the 2026 Governorship election.

Before the main event, the APC leaders paid a courtesy visit to the Olunisa of Inisa, where they discussed on the progress and development of the state.

In his address, the State Chairman urged party members to embrace unity, urging them to collaborate effectively with new members, ensuring that all local units and wards form a cohesive, determined team capable of defeating the PDP in the upcoming elections.

In his welcome address, the APC Chairman of Odo-Otin LG, Mr. Jimoh Asa, expressed immense joy at the reception of Mr. Teleola, while also acknowledging the hard work and support of local party leaders like Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun and Adepoju Oduwole, who have continuously advanced the party’s interests in the area. He noted that Mr. Teleola’s declaration of support for the APC is a testament to his commitment to the party's success. Although new to formal party politics in Osun, Teleola has been a dedicated supporter of progressive ideals in Lagos State and has quickly become an active member of the APC since joining the party in August of this year.

The event also saw heartfelt goodwill messages from various party leaders. Chief Shuaib Oyedokun called on the Inisa community to adopt a progressive attitude and lend their full support to the party. He emphasized that Mr. Teleola’s arrival is a boon for the party, and that the local people should not allow internal divisions to impede the party’s progress. Peter Babalola shared that he had much more to express, planning to address key issues in greater detail next year. Alhaji Oduwole also remarked on Inisa’s strong tradition of supporting progressive politics and urged others in the community still aligned with the PDP to consider returning to the APC fold.

Senatorial Leader Adeoye Adelakun emphasized the importance of reclaiming lost ground, while Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye urged party members to intensify efforts to secure victories at the grassroots level in the lead-up to the 2026 elections.

Surveyor Oluseyi Oke, the APC Chairmanship Candidate for Odo-Otin LG, commended the unwavering support of the party's members and leaders in the local government for their relentless efforts in driving the party’s progress both locally and statewide.

In his speech, Mr. Teleola expressed his gratitude to the State Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, and the APC leadership for the warm reception he received. He affirmed his belief in the APC as a party dedicated to serving the masses and shared his enthusiasm for contributing to the party’s success in both Odo-Otin Local Government and Osun State as a whole. He assured the party’s leadership and members that he would work diligently to strengthen the APC’s position and promote its values across the region.

The event was attended by several notable figures, including Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, Otunba Titi Laoye Ponnle, former Osun State Deputy Governor Rt. Hon. Adejare Bello, Mr. Peter Babalola, Chief Shuaib Oyedokun, Chairman of APC Odo-Otin LG Mr. Jimoh Asa, Sunday Akere, Prince Adebayo Adeleke Banik, KLM, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye, BABS, Moshadek Adekunle Oluawo, and numerous other distinguished party members.

As the APC continues to gain momentum in Osun State, the integration of Mr. Teleola Michael Oyegoke and his supporters into the party serves as a crucial step in fortifying the APC’s influence and preparing for the critical elections ahead.
