Omole Denounces ‘Enemy List’ Allegations as False and Disruptive to APC Unity in Osun

Omole Olusegun, Head of Media and Public Enlightenment for Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, has firmly rejected reports claiming President Bola Ahmed Tinubu maintains an “enemy list,” branding them as baseless fabrications designed to weaken the All Progressives Congress (APC) and destabilize the political climate in Osun State.

Clarifying the situation, Omole stated, “Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi OFR is focused on his duties and does not engage with unfounded allegations. The Governor’s failure to act promptly stems from internal inconsistencies and has been exploited by those opposed to progress in Osun.”

He further denounced circulating rumors, including unsubstantiated claims that President Tinubu removed Governor Ademola Adeleke from the alleged list following pressure from Osun APC leaders, emphasizing these stories are deliberate attempts to misrepresent political realities.

Omole criticized the Osun PDP and Governor Adeleke for disregarding Senator Fadahunsi’s unwavering support, noting, “It is disappointing that the PDP and Governor Adeleke overlook the steadfast role of Senator Fadahunsi—who has consistently assisted them, including in navigating challenges with law enforcement agencies.”

Highlighting Senator Fadahunsi’s influential contributions, Omole recalled his pivotal role in the 2018 PDP primary that facilitated Ademola Adeleke’s nomination and victory, as well as key reconciliation efforts, notably those led by former Governor Rauf Aregbesola at President Tinubu’s request.

Condemning what he termed “the greatest enemies of Osun State,” Omole accused certain individuals of exploiting state resources for personal enrichment while neglecting transparency and accountability to the federal government.

He singled out Mr. Kaseem, the Governor’s Chief of Staff, pointing to his rapid financial gains and implicating the state Deputy Speaker’s company as a front to secure government contracts. Omole further noted that Kaseem’s frequent visits to Mecca have become notably regular.

Calling for an immediate federal and Ministry of Works audit of all bridges constructed under Adeleke’s administration, Omole emphasized urgent safety concerns for Osun residents.

Despite personal respect for Governor Adeleke, Omole explained that Senator Fadahunsi’s defection to the APC was driven solely by the broader interests of Osun citizens.

Responding to hostile remarks from PDP state chairman Sunday Bisi, Omole dismissed them as self-serving, suggesting Bisi’s ongoing hotel projects in Osogbo and Ilesa could be jeopardized if Adeleke were to defect to the APC.

Omole, therefore, call on Adeleke, and his failing political party to stay away from Senator Fadahunsi, who has been their political mentor before now.

He reiterated that there is no credible evidence or official confirmation that President Tinubu maintains any “enemy list” of politicians, describing such rumors as speculative and divisive.

Stressing Tinubu’s dedication to party unity and electoral strength in Osun, Omole cautioned against exaggerating internal differences.

Addressing further speculation, Omole denied claims that the Osun PDP or Governor Adeleke have endorsed Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election, labeling these assertions as unverified and contrary to official party positions.

According to Omole, Governor Adeleke remains focused on his gubernatorial responsibilities rather than premature political endorsements.

He added, “The administration is currently influenced disproportionately by the Governor’s sister, Dupe, and Chief of Staff Kazeem, leaving the Governor sidelined.”

Concluding, Omole affirmed that President Tinubu’s decisions are based on careful strategic judgment, not partisan pressures or popularity contests, warning that attempts to sow discord between federal and local party leaders undermine the entire political system.

He urged the public and media to rely exclusively on verified information from credible sources rather than anonymous rumors or unsubstantiated claims.
