headquarters, Oyebamiji expressed delight in the rousing reception from the loyalists of the party in the areas.
He reiterated his resolve to advance the cause of the state in general and party in particular if elected Governor just as he applauded the leadership and members of the party for the confidence reposed in him and for unflinching support since AMBO's project commenced.
"I am overwhelmed seeing this crowd of quality people and members of our party welcoming us to their terrains. Indeed, this is a sign of love, affection, solidarity and unflinching support for the AMBO Movement. We have been moving from one council to another to register my interest to contest for the next governorship election in Osun. Like many of those places visited so far, it has been overwhelming and rousing.
"This is a good outing for our party. This is a good omen for us and it shows that our party members are ready. I pray God Almighty to honour them as they have honoured us.
"We are here today to seek for your unalloyed support and endorsement as usual, to achieve this ambition. I can see this in you. The spirit of loyalty and resilience. You are wonderful people."
Earlier in their separate remarks, Ifedayo Local Government Chairman and Chairman Osun State Chapter of All Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, Hon. Abiodun Idowu, former Deputy Chief of Staff to the erstwhile Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, Prince Abdullah Binuyo, former Commissioner for Information and Civic Engagement, Mrs Funke Egbemode, Pa. Adebisi Akande-Ope popularly called Kodi-Ope, Hon. Olufunmilayo Olasehinde, Otunba Adesola Adefila, Hon. Abdullah Binuyo and Pa Durojaye Olaleke, Hon. Adegboyega Basheer, threw weights behind Oyebamiji's gubernatorial aspiration.
According to Pa Durojaye Olaleke: "Seeing this crowd is enough for anyone to know that AMBO is our choice. There's no other person that we know other than him. To us, we are for Oyebamiji anytime anyday and we don't have anybody contesting with him and I can assure you that the primary and main governorship election will be a landslide. We know what he is worth. We know his quality. We know his activities in the party and we know his commitment and dedicated efforts and we believe that when he eventually emerges as the governor of Osun, there will be improvement on the well-being of the people of the state. No doubt, our party is strong here and we will do everything within the ambit of the the law to ensure victory for Oyebamiji"
Egbemode said: " Oyebamiji is a project that we have endorsed in Odo-Otin and I can tell you that we will do everything to support him and ensure his emergence. We have been speaking with a voice and we shall continue to speak with one voice during the primary and main gubernatorial election. What you see today is a sign of 100 percent loyalty for Oyebamiji."
Binuyo said: " I am personally encouraged by this crowd. This is a signal to the fact that Oyebamiji is the leading aspirant and by the grace of God he will be the next Governor of Osun. Without mincing words, Oyebamiji is a man who demonstrates the capacity to lead and govern Osun. He has demonstrated capacity over the years and we are certain that with a united front, we shall carry the day both in the governorship and presidential elections. My message for the people is to ensure that we sustain the momentum and ensure that we turn out in large number to support him during the election as we are having the primary in the next couple of months."
Basheer stated: "Odo-Otin is known for progressive party and I am sure that we will continue to demonstrate this and with AMBO being the party flag-bearer the coast is clear for us to deliver the local government. With the mammoth crowd that came out to welcome him, it shows that the party's structure and architecture is set for the primary and main governorship election. Though all other aspirants are equally qualified, for Odo-Otin to actually declare for AMBO, a lot of things were taken into consideration. At the present state of the economy in Osun, it requires significant financial operations and we actually need someone like him to turnaround the fortune of the state."
