APC-Committee of Diaspora Chairmen (APC-CDC), warmly welcomes and echoes the recent official publication from our great party, the All-Progressives Congress (APC) in Nigeria, which unequivocally clarified that no Canadian court has ever declared the APC a terrorist organization.
This statement comes in response to certain highly erroneous and misleading media reports that have been circulating in recent days, creating unnecessary anxiety and confusion among Nigerians at home and abroad. Such falsehoods are not only damaging to the image of our party but also to the long-standing friendship and mutual respect that exists between Canada and Nigeria.
APC-CDC stand firmly behind the party’s clarification and commend the swift and transparent way the national leadership addressed this matter. We urge the public, particularly Nigerians in Canada and across the diaspora, to disregard these baseless reports and rely only on credible, verifiable sources of information.
We also take this opportunity to assure Nigerians living in Canada that the cordial and strategic relationship between our two great nations remains intact, strong, and mutually beneficial. Canada continues to be a welcoming home to many Nigerians who contribute immensely to its social, cultural, and economic life, just as Nigeria remains a vital partner in bilateral cooperation.
The APC-CDC calls on all party members, supporters, and well-meaning Nigerians to remain steadfast, united, and focused on our shared vision for a greater Nigeria. We will continue to engage constructively, defend the truth, and uphold the values that guide our party both at home and abroad.
Signed:
Elas Abone
Publicity Secretary, APC-Committee of Diaspora Chairman
