Hon. Fayemi Julius, Organising Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Spain Chapter, has extended heartfelt congratulations to His Royal Majesty, Oba Ajibade Gbadegeshin Ogunoye III, the Olowo of Owo, on the grand and successful celebration of the Igogo Festival 2025.
In a message of goodwill, Hon. Julius lauded the monarch’s visionary leadership and cultural stewardship, which have elevated the Igogo Festival into a globally admired symbol of Yoruba heritage and communal pride.
“I wish to extend my deepest congratulations to His Royal Majesty, Oba Gbadegeshin Ogunoye III, for the majestic and spiritually fulfilling observance of the Igogo Festival this September,” Hon. Fayemi Julius stated. “The vibrancy, dignity, and cultural richness showcased during the festival are not only a testament to the enduring traditions of the Owo Kingdom but also to the visionary reign of Kabiyesi.”
He also acknowledged the contributions of Ambassador Adeayo Tella, Chairman of the Distinguished Citizens of Owo (DCL), as well as the enthusiastic involvement of community members both at home and in the diaspora.
“It gives me immense pride, not only as a son of Owo but also as an active member of the APC Diaspora, to see our traditions celebrated with such grandeur and reverence,” Hon. Julius added. “I commend the entire Owo community and the DCL under the able leadership of Amb. Adeayo Tella for their steadfast support and unity.”
The Igogo Festival, a centuries-old tradition, remains a central pillar in the preservation and promotion of Owo’s cultural heritage. This year’s edition drew notable dignitaries, traditional rulers, cultural enthusiasts, and well-wishers from across Nigeria and beyond.
Hon. Julius concluded his message with prayers for continued peace, progress, and prosperity in Owo Kingdom:
“May your reign, Kabiyesi, continue to flourish with wisdom and divine favor. May the light of your leadership illuminate generations to come. And may Owo Kingdom rise ever higher in prominence and unity. Congratulations on a truly historic Igogo Festival 2025.”
