The Executive Director, Marine and Operations of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Engr. Olalekan Badmus, has congratulated the immediate past Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, on the occasion of his 60th birthday.
In his birthday message on Monday, Engr. Badmus described Asiwaju Oyebamiji as a steadfast administrator, a refined technocratand a leader whose service record has continued to inspire younger professionals and politicians in Osun and beyond.
He lauded the former NIWA boss for his decades of commitment to public service, adding that the celebrant has consistently demonstrated loyalty, capacity and excellence in every role he has held.
Badmus noted that clocking 60 is a significant milestone, especially for a man who has spent much of his life contributing to both state and national development.
He also commended Asiwaju Oyebamiji’s leadership style, which he described as calm, strategic and people-centred.
The NPA Executive Director further expressed optimism on the political journey of the former NIWA chief, praying that by this time next year, Oyebamiji would be celebrating his birthday as the Governor-Elect of Osun State under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to him, “Osun needs competent, experienced and focused leadership which AMBO represents in full. It is my prayer that God crowns his efforts with victory in the 2026 governorship election.”
Badmus wished the celebrant long life, good health and greater accomplishments in the years ahead, adding that his diamond jubilee marks the beginning of a new phase of broader service to Osun and Nigeria in general.
