The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Switzerland Chapter and Chief Executive Officer of Alfonso Group, Dr. Adebayo John Alfonso, has strongly condemned the recent bandit attacks on schools in Kebbi State and Niger State, as well as the attack on a church in Eruku, Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State.
In a statement issued through his media office, Dr. Alfonso described the attacks as unprovoked, unacceptable, and deeply troubling, asserting that such acts of violence are deliberate attempts by enemies of peace and progress to destabilize Nigeria. He emphasized that these assaults on innocent schoolchildren and worshippers are not only criminal but represent a direct challenge to the nation’s unity and the ongoing developmental strides championed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
According to Dr. Alfonso, the perpetrators of these violent incidents aim to create fear, derail educational advancement, and undermine the government’s efforts to restore stability and growth across the country. He stressed that Nigerians must remain vigilant and united in rejecting any form of sabotage meant to slow down the nation’s progress.
“These attacks are clearly the handiwork of individuals and groups who do not want to see Nigeria succeed. They fear the transformation currently unfolding under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and seek to create chaos where there should be peace. We cannot and must not allow them to win,” Dr. Alfonso stated.
He called on security agencies to intensify their efforts in apprehending the perpetrators and ensuring that such incidents are prevented in the future. He also urged communities to cooperate with authorities by providing timely information that could aid investigations.
Dr. Alfonso further commiserated with the affected families, communities, and state governments, expressing deep sympathy for the victims and reaffirming his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote safety, education, and peaceful coexistence.
“The protection of our children, our places of worship, and our communities must remain a national priority. We stand firmly with all Nigerians affected by these tragic events and we reaffirm our collective resolve to build a safer and more prosperous nation,” he added.
