A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Ede North Local Government, Ayodeji Ajani Ghaffar popularly known as Ghaff Unity, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the Owa of Igbajo Land, Oba Phillip Adegboyega Famodun, describing the monarch’s demise as a painful blow to Osun State’s traditional and political institutions.
In his condolence message, Ghaff Unity said the late Oba Famodun was not only a custodian of Igbajo’s cultural heritage but also a stabilizing figure whose wisdom, maturity, and unwavering commitment to the progressive family strengthened unity across the state.
He noted that as the immediate past chairman of the APC in Osun State, Oba Famodun left behind a legacy of principled leadership, discipline, and dedication to the development of the party and the state as a whole.
Ghaff Unity commiserated with the royal family, the people of Igbajo, the entire Osun APC family, and all who were positively impacted by the life of the late monarch, praying that God grants them the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
He added that Oba Famodun’s contributions to Osun’s sociopolitical landscape would remain indelible, urging the people to honor his memory by sustaining the values he upheld.
He prayed for the peaceful repose of the late monarch’s soul.
