“Money Doesn’t Bring Happiness”: Davido’s Father Tells Newlyweds At Traditional Wedding

Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, father of music star Davido, delivered a heartfelt message at his son’s traditional wedding, stressing that true happiness in marriage goes far beyond financial wealth.

Speaking to the couple, Dr. Adeleke said that while money and success are good, they are not the foundation of a joyful home. He noted that many people with little material wealth live happily, while some with “billions in the bank” remain miserable.

“It’s just God’s blessing. Once you have that in your family, you know you have a happy family,” he said. “Happiness is not about money… The most important thing is peace, happiness and friendship in your home.”

He urged the newlyweds to make prayer and mutual support a daily practice, adding that he would continue to pray for them.

“The most important thing is that both of you must pray for each other every morning and every night,” he advised.
