OSPOLY Iree Alumni Spread Hope at Ilesa Correctional Centre as 31st Anniversary Activities Begin

In a compassionate outreach marking its 31st anniversary, the OSPOLY Iree Alumni Association on Wednesday visited the Ilesa Correctional Centre, donating food items and other essentials to inmates as part of its week-long celebratory activities.

The initiative, themed “Celebrating the 31st Anniversary of Excellence, Friendship and Impact: Sustaining the Legacy,” was aimed at offering hope and support to inmates who are often overlooked. Led by the National President, Alhaji Yakub Akeem Adebayo, the alumni team encouraged the inmates with kind words while presenting the gifts, creating a visibly uplifting atmosphere within the facility.

Adebayo said the association’s decision to carry out the outreach despite recent security concerns underscores its commitment to community service. “We believe in spreading kindness and making a positive impact, even in the most challenging circumstances,” he stated.

The correctional facility visit is one of several activities lined up for the anniversary, which also features a press conference, anniversary lecture, novelty football match, and courtesy visits to notable dignitaries. The celebration is expected to culminate in a royal anniversary speech and a fundraising grand finale.
