The Osun State Polytechnic Iree Alumni Association (OSPAA) is set to celebrate its 31st anniversary with a week-long series of events scheduled to begin on Monday, November 17, 2025, and end on Saturday, November 22, 2025.
The celebration, themed “Celebrating the 31st Anniversary of Excellence, Friendship and Impact: Sustaining the Legacy,” was announced in a statement issued in Osogbo by the National Publicity Secretary of the Alumni Association, Adekunle Sikiru.
According to the statement, activities will commence on Monday with the arrival of all participants, dignitaries, and invited guests. On Tuesday, November 18, a press conference will be held at the Alumni Secretariat in Iree, followed by visits to royal fathers within Boripe and Ifelodun Local Government Areas.
The anniversary lecture is scheduled for Wednesday, November 19, and will be delivered by Prof. Akinbode James Olalekan of Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State. A football match will follow at 3:00 p.m. on the OSPOLY Iree campus.
On Thursday, November 20, the association will embark on courtesy visits to the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, and the Timi of Ede Land, His Royal Majesty Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal. The team will also visit a correctional centre as part of its social responsibility engagements.
Friday, November 21, will feature a special Jumat service and the conferment of awards on distinguished individuals and notable alumni at the OSPOLY Campus in Iree.
The week-long celebration will climax on Saturday, November 22, with the grand finale featuring a royal anniversary address by the Eburu of Iba Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Adekunle Adeogun-Okunoye Oyedeji II.
The event will also include fundraising for a multi-million-naira 1,500-capacity amphitheatre and a new school gate project. The grand ceremony will take place at the Distinguished Event Centre beside Aje Market, Dele Yes Sir Area, Ido-Osun, Osogbo, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Governor Ademola Adeleke will serve as the Special Guest of Honour, while the Chairman of the Governing Council Board, Hon. Diran Ayanbeku, will attend as Guest of Honour.
The Rector of Osun State Polytechnic Iree, Alhaji (Comrade) Kehinde Adeyemi Alabi, is the Chief Host, with the National President of the Alumni Association, Alhaji Yakub Akeem Adebayo, serving as the Host.
The association encourages alumni, stakeholders, and the public to join in celebrating 31 years of excellence and impactful service.
