The Osun Youth Movement (OYM) has officially begun clamouring for the emergence of seasoned entrepreneur and business development expert, Omooba Dare Eluyemi, as a leading contender in the forthcoming 2026 Osun State governorship election.
Speaking after a strategic meeting held by the movement, the leader of OYM, Comrade Ishola Waheed, disclosed that a unanimous resolution was reached to persuade Omooba Eluyemi to enter the race. According to him, the decision was borne out of the youth’s conviction in Eluyemi’s extensive corporate experience, deep understanding of governance, and his consistent record of community service and engagement across Osun State.
Comrade Waheed emphasized that the state is in need of pragmatic and forward-thinking leadership one that understands both the economic challenges and the developmental opportunities ahead. He noted that Omooba Eluyemi’s background as an accomplished business strategist and his longstanding commitment to youth empowerment make him a compelling choice for the state’s top office.
“Omooba Dare Eluyemi represents the kind of leadership Osun needs at this critical time,” Waheed stated. “For years, he has demonstrated excellence in corporate business management and has shown genuine dedication to grassroots development. His passion for empowering young people is evident, and we believe he has the capacity to chart a new course for our dear state.”
The movement called on well-meaning citizens, youth groups, and community stakeholders to rally behind the call for Eluyemi’s candidacy, stressing that the 2026 election presents a crucial opportunity for transformative leadership.
If Omooba Dare Eluyemi heeds the call, the Osun Youth Movement said it is fully prepared to mobilize widespread support and champion a youth-driven campaign for a more prosperous Osun State.
