Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State, Mr. Adamu Ninga, has expressed strong confidence that the party will come out of its upcoming national convention more united and formidable than ever.
The national convention, scheduled to take place in Ibadan, Oyo State, from November 15 to 16, will focus on electing new national officers and fine-tuning strategies ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking to journalists in Lafia on Wednesday after an expanded meeting of the PDP State Executive Council, Ninga described the convention as a crucial turning point for the party. According to him, the gathering would serve as “a vital platform to strengthen internal cohesion and reposition the PDP for greater success at both the state and national levels.”

Ninga emphasized that the convention would also provide an avenue to address internal disagreements and lay a solid foundation for the party’s future direction.
He assured members that his leadership would continue to promote fairness and inclusiveness, ensuring a level playing field for all party members, particularly those with aspirations for elective offices in 2027.
Reaffirming his commitment to inclusive leadership, Ninga noted that every member of the PDP in Nasarawa would have a voice in decision-making processes.
He further disclosed that four delegate slots had been reserved for women from each of the 13 local government areas of the state, underscoring the party’s commitment to gender balance and broader participation.
Ninga concluded by assuring that the Nasarawa delegation would conduct itself with dignity and discipline throughout the convention and work collectively toward electing competent leaders capable of steering the PDP to victory in 2027.
