A Call for Unity and Discipline: COMR. Yaya Nurudeen Salutes Oyebamiji’s Successful Screening and Advocates Party Cohesion

The political atmosphere within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has once again been brightened by the emergence of forward-looking leadership and internal strength. Following the successful completion of the party’s 2026 gubernatorial screening exercise, I, Comr. Yaya Nurudeen Olayiwola, proudly congratulate my father and mentor, the leading gubernatorial aspirant, Asiwaju munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, on scaling through the vetting process with excellence. I remain deeply confident in his vision, competence and unwavering dedication to the progress of Osun State. As we move toward the crucial primary election, I wish him outstanding success.

However, my message is not merely one of celebration. It is also a sincere appeal to the wider progressive family particularly to other aspirants who participated in the screening. With empathy, understanding and respect, I urge those who may feel dissatisfied or disqualified to exercise calm, discipline and sportsmanship. Our internal processes, though sometimes demanding, are ultimately designed to strengthen the party’s unity and sharpen our collective readiness for the task ahead.

In reinforcing this call, I draw inspiration from national leadership. After his victory in the APC presidential primaries, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu demonstrated unmatched maturity by extending a hand of fellowship to fellow aspirants. That gesture of unity remains a powerful example for all of us a reminder that primaries are a family discussion, not a battlefield; and that the ultimate goal of electoral victory must rise above personal interest.

The heart of my message is simple: only a united APC can reclaim Osun State in 2026. This is not the time for division, bitterness or parallel camps. I strongly encourage all members, supporters and stakeholders to channel their enthusiasm into strengthening a single, formidable campaign structure capable of delivering victory at the polls.

Looking ahead, I am optimistic that Asiwaju munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji will emerge as the party’s flagbearer. The primary election should be seen not as an internal war, but as the final preparatory step toward the greater contest in 2026. My prayers and good wishes extend beyond the primaries to the general election, where I envision a united and reinvigorated APC presenting a powerful and persuasive case to the people of Osun State.

In essence, this statement goes beyond mere congratulations. It is a strategic call for healing, reconciliation and disciplined unity. By combining my unwavering support for a worthy aspirant with a broader appeal for harmony, mirroring the exemplary conduct of the President.

I offer a timely direction for the APC in Osun State. The message remains clear:

Our victory in 2026 begins today with unity, discipline and collective resolve.
