The Ataoja of Osogboland, His Royal Majesty Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun Larooye II, has expressed profound condolences to the families of two distinguished sons of Osogboland who recently passed away, Alhaji Musa Bello and Alhaji Gafar Atere, widely known as “So Mine E.”
In a statement, the Ataoja extended his sympathies to the family of Alhaji Musa Bello, the Secretary of the Ansarudeen Osogbo Branch and a dedicated member of the Ataoja Ramadan Committee 2026.
The monarch described his passing as deeply shocking, particularly as his invaluable service to the town and the Muslim community was still greatly needed.
Similarly, HRM Oba Larooye II condoled with the family of Alhaji Gafar Atere, a renowned businessman and philanthropist who played a significant role in the socio-economic development of Osogboland.
The Ataoja commended Alhaji Atere’s unwavering commitment to the progress of Osogbo, noting that his contributions, including his service during the 2006 Osogbo Oroki Day celebrations, will be fondly remembered and cherished by generations to come.
The Ataoja described both late sons of Osogboland as exemplary individuals whose legacies of service, leadership, and dedication to the community will remain a source of inspiration.
He prayed for strength and solace for the bereaved families during this period of grief, while urging the citizens of Osogboland to honor the memories of these illustrious sons by continuing the work they so passionately advanced.
