The Otun Babaloja of Sasa Market, Osogbo, and Representative of the Ataoja of Osogboland across markets in Osogbo, Alhaji Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in Osogbo, Osun State, and across Nigeria on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the 30-day Ramadan fast.
In his goodwill message, Alhaji Efe described Eid-el-Fitr as a sacred and joyous period that symbolizes spiritual renewal, self-discipline, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to Almighty Allah. He noted that the holy month of Ramadan provided an opportunity for Muslims to strengthen their faith, promote compassion, and reinforce unity within their communities.
He expressed profound appreciation to the Ataoja of Osogboland, His Royal Majesty Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun Larooye II; the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke; Engr. Olalekan Abdulrahman Badmus of the Nigerian Ports Authority; the Asiwaju Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta, Alhaji Khamis Tunde Badmus; the Asiwaju of Osogboland, Justice Moshud Adekunle Adeigbe (Rtd.); Barrister Kunle Rasheed (K-Rad SAN); Elder Agboola, Chairman of the Osogbo Elder Council; Prince Adeleke Oduola, Chairman of the Osogbo Progressive Union (OPU); Chief Olayanju; and Mr Jimoh Olajide as well as the resilient men and women of Sasa Market, Oke-Baale, Osogbo, for their steadfast support, cooperation, and commitment throughout the Ramadan period.
Alhaji Efe commended the spirit of generosity, patience, and peaceful coexistence demonstrated by Muslims during the fasting period, emphasizing that these virtues should not end with Ramadan but should continue to guide daily interactions and community development.
He urged Muslims to use the Eid celebration period to promote peace, love, and unity, while also extending acts of kindness to the less privileged in society. According to him, the true essence of Eid lies in sharing, forgiveness, and strengthening the bonds of brotherhood irrespective of religious or ethnic differences.
The community leader further called on residents of Osogbo and Nigerians at large to remain law-abiding, support constituted authorities, and work collectively towards sustainable development, peace, and prosperity in the state and the nation.
Alhaji Efe prayed that Almighty Allah accepts the prayers, fasting, and good deeds of all المسلمين during Ramadan and grants continued peace, progress, and abundance to Osogboland, Osun State, and Nigeria as a whole.
