The Chairman of the Osun Amotekun Corps Board, Assistant Inspector General of Police (Rtd.) Wale Abbas, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in Osun State on the occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Fitr celebration, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a congratulatory message made available to newsmen in Osogbo, AIG Abbas commended Muslims for their devotion, discipline, and spiritual commitment throughout the fasting period. He noted that the values of sacrifice, patience, and compassion demonstrated during Ramadan should be sustained beyond the holy month for the continued peace and development of society.
The Chairman further called on residents of Osun State to use the festive period to promote unity, peaceful coexistence, and mutual respect, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences. He emphasized that collective responsibility remains key to building a safer and more secure environment for all.
AIG Abbas also urged citizens to continue their unflinching support for the Osun Amotekun Corps in its ongoing efforts to combat crime and safeguard lives and property across the state. He reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to ensuring the safety of all residents, particularly during the festive season.
While wishing the Muslim faithful a joyous and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration, he encouraged everyone to celebrate responsibly and remain vigilant, assuring that adequate security measures have been put in place to guarantee a hitch-free celebration.
