An Ekiti State farm manager, abdu¢ted on October 23, 2025, near the Kogi State boundary, has recounted his harrowing ordeal after spending 42 days in the wilderness following a rans0m payment of ₦17 million.
According to the vi¢tim, his mother and younger brother initially paid ₦15 million in cash a week after the kidn@pping, with an additional ₦2 million transferred, yet he was not released. The final ₦2 million payment triggered a vi0lent di$pute among the kidn@ppers, which allowed him and other hostages to escape.
He revealed that the kidnappers’ leader had told his family: “Na only God fit save us, we still have the debt of about ₦6.2 million to clear.” Despite his release, the family remains under Huge financial strain, struggling to pay the remaining debts incurred during the rans0m process.
