A woman has come forward with a troubling story after a guest she welcomed into her home allegedly robbed her of some of her most personal and valuable belongings.
The suspect, a Nigerian woman identified as Precious, was reportedly a friend of the victim’s husband and his business partner. When she traveled to Ghana and found herself short on funds for accommodation, the couple decided to help by offering her a place to stay at their property, since they were often away for work or visiting family.
However, the situation reportedly took a shocking turn when the couple stopped by the house for a routine check-in. They allegedly discovered that Precious had fled after ransacking the entire home.
According to the victim, all her jewellery—including her wedding ring—was missing. Her wardrobe had been completely searched through, and even her undergarments were taken. In addition, about 11,000 Ghanaian Cedis (approximately ₦1,070,000) was reportedly stolen.
The victim said that when she first reached out to Precious via text message, she initially responded. But the moment the accusation of theft was raised, Precious allegedly blocked her and disappeared.
The victim is now appealing to the public for help. Anyone with information about Precious’ whereabouts is encouraged to come forward as efforts continue to locate her.
Reflecting on the incident, the victim also expressed concern about how situations like this can affect trust. She noted that many people in Ghana have always been willing to host her whenever she visits, and she worries that stories like this might make others hesitant to help in the future.
