In a compassionate outreach aimed at supporting the welfare and spiritual upliftment of inmates, Kay of God Salvation Church, Gbongan, on Wednesday carried out a humanitarian visit to the Ile-Ife Custodial Centre, where food items were donated to inmates as part of the church’s community service and faith-based mission.
The outreach was led by the Pastor of the church, who arrived at the custodial facility with members of the congregation bearing various food supplies intended to support the inmates and demonstrate the church’s commitment to acts of charity and compassion.
During the visit, the Pastor not only presented the food items but also spent time engaging with the inmates through prayers and the preaching of the message of salvation. In his exhortation, he encouraged the inmates to remain hopeful and embrace faith, emphasizing that spiritual transformation and redemption are possible for everyone regardless of their circumstances.
The spiritual session created a moment of reflection and encouragement for many of the inmates, as the church leadership prayed for their well-being, personal transformation, and eventual reintegration into society.
The visitation also witnessed the presence of the President of Brave Women, Evangelist Matilda Farinde, who joined the church delegation in supporting the outreach program. She commended the initiative, noting that acts of kindness and spiritual guidance can play an important role in restoring hope among incarcerated individuals.
Several members of Kay of God Salvation Church also accompanied the Pastor during the visit, demonstrating the church’s collective commitment to extending love, care, and spiritual support to people in difficult circumstances.
