The Osogbo Branch of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Muslim Graduates' Association (LAUMGA) has announced plans to hold its Annual Ramadan Lecture as part of activities to prepare Muslims for the holy month.
The lecture, themed “Building a Resilient Community: Expectations from Muslim Graduates in Promoting Social Justice and Peace,” is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the OKIN Premise, located behind Okunola Shopping Complex in Capital area of Osogbo.
According to the organisers, the event will feature a lecture by Muibi M. A., Head of the Department of Medical Laboratory Science at the Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun. The guest speaker is expected to address the role of Muslim graduates in fostering social justice, peace, and community development.
The organisers said the programme aims to provide a platform for spiritual preparation ahead of Ramadan while encouraging discussions on the responsibilities of educated Muslims in building a just and peaceful society.
Chairman of the Planning Committee, Dr. Saheed Odediji, called on members of the Muslim community and the public to attend and invite others.
Also speaking on the event, Owolawi O. J., Chairman of LAUMGA Osogbo Branch, said the lecture is part of the association’s commitment to community engagement and moral development.
