Leading 2027 House of Representatives aspirant for Osogbo Federal Constituency and Chairman of the Romeo Foundation, Prince Abdul-Rasheed Muideen Romeo, has intensified his grassroots consultations with a strategic visit to the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ward Youth Leaders in Olorunda Local Government Area, where he formally declared his intention to contest for the federal legislative seat and pledged to deliver quality, people-oriented representation.
The consultative meeting, held on Friday at Aruru Ilè Ogidi, Ward 05, Amadiya, drew youth leaders from across the wards in Olorunda who gathered to receive the Osogbo-born prince and renowned real estate entrepreneur.
Addressing the enthusiastic gathering, Romeo reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive governance, youth empowerment, and sustainable development.
“I am not here because of ambition alone; I am here because I understand the struggles and aspirations of our people. I am one of you, and together we will take the voice of Olorunda and Osogbo Federal Constituency to the National Assembly,” Romeo declared.
He further emphasized the need for responsive leadership that prioritizes human capital development and economic opportunities for young people. “Quality representation is not about occupying a seat; it is about making a difference in the lives of the people. I am determined to attract meaningful projects, create opportunities for our youths, and ensure that our constituency receives its fair share of federal presence,” he added.
Romeo also reiterated his unwavering support for Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), the APC governorship candidate in the August 15 election, describing his emergence as critical to the continued progress of Osun State. “AMBO represents continuity, development, and progressive governance. We must unite to ensure his victory for the overall good of our state,” he stated.
In their response, the APC Ward Youth Leaders unanimously pledged their full backing for Romeo’s aspiration, describing him as “one of us” due to his origin from Olorunda and his consistent grassroots engagement. They commended his philanthropic interventions through the Romeo Foundation and assured him of their readiness to mobilize support across the local government.
The visit is widely seen as a significant boost to Romeo’s political momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections, further consolidating his grassroots appeal and positioning him as a formidable contender with deep community ties and a progressive vision for effective representation.
