Former Senator Iyiola Omisore has dismissed reports claiming he filed a lawsuit against the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the allegation as false, misleading, and politically motivated.
Reacting to a purported suit titled FHC/OS/CS/261/2025 – Senator Iyiola Omisore v. APC & ANR, Omisore said the document circulating online contains glaring inconsistencies, including what he described as a wrong and questionable date that casts serious doubt on its authenticity.
He stressed that the APC has not yet conducted its gubernatorial screening or primary election, making claims that he approached the court over the matter illogical and baseless.
According to the former senator, the narrative appears to be the handiwork of the ruling Accord Party and the administration of Ademola Adeleke, governor of Osun State, allegedly aimed at creating unnecessary political tension and confusion within the opposition.
Omisore urged party members, supporters, and the general public to disregard the purported suit, maintaining that he has not filed any legal action against the APC regarding the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
He also called on those circulating the document to desist from spreading falsehood and political propaganda, warning that such actions could mislead the public and heighten political tension in Osun State.
