The ancient city of Osogbo is set to witness a landmark religious and humanitarian milestone as renowned philanthropist, business magnate, and Asiwaju Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta, Asiwaju Khamis Olatunde Badmus, prepares to commission a newly constructed ultra-modern mosque on May 8, 2026.
Strategically located beside Tuns Farm Limited in Dagbolu, Osogbo, the mosque named after the Nasrul-Lahi-l-Fatih Society of Nigeria stands as a symbol of faith, unity, and devotion. With an impressive capacity to accommodate up to 5,000 worshippers at once, the architectural masterpiece is expected to serve as a central hub for spiritual growth and communal worship. Its aesthetic appeal and serene environment are designed to inspire deep reflection and enhance the worship experience for congregants.
The commissioning ceremony will be closely followed by a grand celebration of Asiwaju Badmus’ birthday on May 9, 2026, scheduled to take place at Fountain University, Osogbo.
Widely respected for his unwavering commitment to the growth and development of Islam, Asiwaju Badmus has, over the years, distinguished himself through numerous acts of generosity and leadership.
His contributions have earned him admiration across religious and social circles. Notably, prominent Islamic scholar Sheikh Abdullah Adam Al-Ilory Agege (Makaz) was known to offer prayers for him in recognition of his dedication to Islamic causes and Asiwaju Khamis Tunde Badmus didn't leave the Makaz in his developmental support till today.
Among his many impactful initiatives, Asiwaju Badmus has facilitated international exposure for Islamic leaders, including sponsoring a delegation of Imams from Yorubaland to the United States approximately five years ago.
