The BAT Global Ambassadors (BATGA), a self‑funding independent campaign support group registered with the APC National Secretariat, announces its endorsement of Brigadier General Biodun Bashir Adewinmbi (Rtd) as a strong candidate for the Osun West Senatorial District in the forthcoming elections.
According to the BATGA scribe in Osun State Comrade Ambassador Adejumo Micheal VP, noted that Brigadier General Adewinmbi brings a combination of public service experience, grassroots engagement, and a record of community empowerment. He previously served as the pioneer Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps, where he was appointed by former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and served until 2024. In that role, he was credited with strengthening local security structures and building public trust in the Corps.
BATGA notes that Adewinmbi is a native of Ede like the incumbent Governor and has maintained close ties with residents across Osun West through empowerment initiatives, including cooperative loan programs for women, youths, artisans, and traders in Ede North and other parts of the district.
The group says Adewinmbi has declared his intention to contest the Osun West Senate seat on the APC platform and is mobilizing residents for PVC registration and voter participation, particularly in Ede North.
BATGA believes his background, local roots, and outreach could add value to the party’s preparations for the upcoming election cycle in Osun State. The organization is therefore appealing to the APC leadership and its principal, His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, to consider Adewinmbi for the Osun West Senatorial ticket as it will make the APC governorship candidate win with landslide in forthcoming election.
