A leading House of Representatives aspirant for Osogbo, Olorunda, Irepodun, and Orolu Federal Constituency, Akogun Raji Abioye, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians across the constituency and Osun State at large.
In a congratulatory message made available to newsmen in Osogbo on Sunday, Akogun Abioye described Easter as a profound season that embodies sacrifice, love, renewal, and hope for humanity. He noted that the commemoration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ remains a powerful reminder of the virtues of selflessness, perseverance, and unwavering faith.
According to him, “Easter is not just a celebration, but a deeply spiritual moment that calls for sober reflection on the values of sacrifice and compassion demonstrated by Jesus Christ for the redemption of mankind. It is a time for individuals and communities to renew their commitment to peace, unity, and service to others.”
He urged Christians to use the occasion to pray for the continued peace, progress, and prosperity of Osun State and Nigeria as a whole. He also emphasized the need for citizens to embrace love and mutual understanding irrespective of religious or ethnic differences, stressing that national development can only be achieved in an atmosphere of unity and collective responsibility.
Akogun Abioye further called on leaders at all levels to draw inspiration from the lessons of Easter by prioritizing the welfare of the people, promoting justice, and fostering inclusive governance.
