Poverty Alleviation Scheme for Women, Youths, Aged, Artisans, NURTW, RTEAN and Motorcyclists in Osogbo Local Government.
Distinguished guests, respected elders, party leaders, executive members, beneficiaries, members of the press and the good people of Osogbo Local Government, I warmly welcome you all to this historic occasion the Flag-Off Ceremony of our Poverty Alleviation Scheme for Women, Youths, Aged, Artisans, NURTW, RTEAN and Motorcyclists.
First and foremost; Alhamdulillah, I sincerely thank the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola for being a strong pillar behind the autonomy of Local Government administration, thereby restoring local governments to their proper role and normal functioning in serving the people at the grassroots.
As your Executive Chairman, I have dedicated myself to serving you with the full capacity entrusted to me, with a clear vision to improve the standard of living of our people and make life better for every household in Osogbo Local Government.
Today marks the beginning of a deliberate and structured poverty alleviation initiative designed to empower our women, youths, aged, artisans, NURTW, RTEAN and support our motorcyclists citizens. This programme will be implemented in batches to ensure transparency, fairness and effective reach. Each beneficiary in this phase of 1,500 will receive the sum of Fifty Thousand Naira (₦50,000) as financial support to strengthen their livelihoods and ease economic hardship.
My administration remains fully committed to reducing the level of poverty among our people. This initiative is not a one-time effort but a continuous programme that will be sustained until we achieve our targeted level of economic relief and empowerment across our communities.
Let me assure you that this government will continue to prioritize people-oriented programmes that bring direct benefits to our citizens. Together, we shall build a stronger, more prosperous Osogbo Local Government where no one is left behind.
In conclusion, I pray that Almighty Allah grants us the wisdom, strength and resources to successfully implement this programme and uplift the lives of our people.
