Prince Abdulrasheed Muideen Romeo, a leading aspirant for the Osogbo Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, joined several top chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State and in the country at the installation ceremony of Chief Tunde Rahaman as the Baaroyin of Iwo Land.
The well-attended event in Iwo drew prominent figures within the party, including the Osun APC Governorship Candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji; the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Protocol, Ambassador Issah Niniola; Engr. Remi Omowaiye; Engr. Olalekan Badmus; Mr. Femi Oyetola, alongside other notable APC stakeholders across the state.
Romeo described the installation as a celebration of culture, tradition, and leadership, noting that Chief Rahaman’s emergence as Baaroyin reflects his longstanding contributions to community development and and the growth of journalism in Nigeria and Iwo kingdom Land. He commended the Oluwo of Iwo Kingdom, HRM. Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi Telu 1 and the people of Iwo for preserving their rich cultural heritage and honoring individuals who have made meaningful impacts in society.
In a related development, Romeo also graced the As-Salatu prayers organized in honour of the Osun State APC Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal. He lauded the party chairman for his steadfast leadership and commitment to strengthening the APC across the state, praying for continued wisdom and good health for him.
Continuing his engagements, the federal lawmaker hopeful paid a familiarisation visit to the Manade Boxing Academy located in Isale Osun, Osogbo. The academy, coached by Alhaji Ibrahim Olarenwaju, has been instrumental in nurturing young boxing talents and promoting sports development at the grassroots.
Romeo commended the efforts of the coach and the dedication of the young athletes, emphasizing the importance of sports as a tool for youth empowerment, discipline, and social development. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that create opportunities for young people to thrive and channel their energies productively.
Addressing the young athletes, Romeo stressed that youth development remains central to his political vision, noting that meaningful engagement with young people is critical to building a sustainable political future. He assured them of inclusive representation that prioritizes opportunities, capacity building, and support for local initiatives.
He reiterated his resolve to continue engaging with communities and stakeholders across Osogbo Federal Constituency, pledging to champion programs that foster unity, development, and inclusive growth.
