In a significant boost to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osogbo, leading House of Representatives aspirant, Prince Dr. Abdulrasheed Muideen Romeo, on Thursday attended the Ward 2 Olorunda general meeting, where party faithful gathered in large numbers to deliberate on party affairs and consolidate ongoing mobilization efforts.
The meeting, held in a vibrant and united atmosphere, took a major turn with the formal return of Hon. Munirudeen Anisu, former Chairman of Olorunda Local Government, to the APC. His re-entry into the party was met with resounding applause and enthusiasm from members, who described the development as a welcome reinforcement of the party’s structure at the grassroots.
Prince Romeo, while addressing party members, expressed his delight in the return of Hon. Anisu back into the APC fold, describing his return as a “homecoming that strengthens our collective resolve to reposition the party for victory.” He noted that Anisu’s wealth of experience in local governance and political mobilization would further energize the party’s base in Olorunda and beyond.
“Today’s gathering is not just a routine ward meeting; it is a testament to the growing unity and renewed commitment within our party. The return of leaders like Hon. Anisu reflects the confidence stakeholders have in the APC and our shared vision for progress, just as it is a pointer to our collective readiness to vote out the lacklustre government of the Adeleke and install a progressive government that will see to the welfare of our people and development of our local government.” Romeo stated.
Hon. Anisu, in his remarks, expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded him by party leaders and members. He reaffirmed his commitment to the ideals of the APC and pledged to work assiduously with other stakeholders to ensure the party’s success in forthcoming political elections.
“I am delighted to be back home. The APC remains the platform with the structure, leadership, and vision to deliver meaningful development to our people. I am fully committed to contributing my quota to strengthen the party at all levels,” Anisu said.
Party leaders at the meeting commended Prince Romeo for his consistent engagement with grassroots stakeholders, describing his presence as a demonstration of responsive and inclusive leadership. They also emphasized the importance of unity and reconciliation in building a formidable front ahead of future elections.
The Ward 2 Olorunda meeting concluded with renewed pledges of loyalty to the APC, as members reiterated their readiness to work together in ensuring electoral success and sustainable development across the constituency.
