Prince Abdulrasheed Muideen Aderemi, popularly known as Romeo, a frontline 2027 aspirant for Osogbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, was among prominent dignitaries who converged on Ada, Osun State, to pay their last respects to late Chief Micheal Ponnle.
Chief Micheal Ponnle Ayantunde CFR, a foremost industrialist, seasoned businessman, and the Chief Executive Officer of MicCom Golf and Resorts, Ada, was also the husband of former Osun State Deputy Governor, Otunba Grace Titi-Ponle. He was widely regarded as a pillar in the business and hospitality sector, with a legacy that spans decades of enterprise, leadership, and community development.
Present at the burial ceremony were Senator Dr. Ajibola Basiru (SRJ), Dr. Shekinat Bola Oyebamiji, wife of the the APC Gubernatorial Candidate in Osun, Engr. Benjamin Adereti, deputy governorship candidate of the APC, Senator Fadeyi Olubiyi Ajagunnla, Chief Shuaib Oyedokun, and former Governor of Osun State, Omooba Olagunsoye Oyinlola.
The event further drew the presence of elder statesman, General Alani Akinrinade; former Senate spokesperson, Senator Ajibola Basiru; Hon. Adelakun Adeoye; and the Osun State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sooko Tajudeen Lawal Olaniyi, Senator Francis Fadahunsi, Hon. Oluwole Oke, Hon. Ayo Omidiran, Dr. Charles Diji Akinola, Hon. Lekan Olatunji, Mrs Funke Egbemode, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, among other notable figures.
The solemn gathering attracted a large crowd of political leaders, business associates, and sympathisers who came to celebrate the life and legacy of Chief Ponnle, whose contributions to economic growth and hospitality development, particularly through MicCom Golf and Resorts, remain significant.
Tributes poured in at the event, with many describing the late industrialist as a visionary leader, philanthropist, and a man deeply committed to the progress of his community.
Prayers were offered for the repose of his soul, while condolences were extended to Otunba Grace Titi-Ponle and the entire family, as well as friends and associates mourning his passing.
