The Worldwide President of the Brave Women Progressive Association, Evangelist Matilda Farinde, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in Osun State, Nigeria, and across the world on the joyous occasion of Eid-El-Kabir celebration.
In her goodwill message issued on the occasion of the Islamic festival, Evangelist Farinde described Eid-El-Kabir as a significant spiritual celebration that symbolizes sacrifice, obedience, love, and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah. She urged Muslims to uphold the virtues of tolerance, compassion, peaceful coexistence, and selflessness which the season represents.
According to her, the celebration should serve as a reminder to all Nigerians, irrespective of religion, ethnicity, or political affiliation, to continue promoting unity, harmony, and mutual understanding for the progress and development of the nation.
Evangelist Farinde further appealed to Muslim faithful and Nigerians in general to celebrate the festive season with moderation and consideration for one another, especially the less privileged in society. She emphasized the need for citizens to extend acts of kindness and charity to the needy, stressing that love and generosity remain key teachings of the Eid-El-Kabir celebration.
Speaking on the political atmosphere in Osun State, the Brave Women Progressive Association President called on residents of the state to fervently pray for peaceful, free, and credible elections as the electoral process draws nearer. She noted that peace remains essential for sustainable democracy and meaningful development.
She urged political actors, stakeholders, youths, and supporters of various political parties to shun violence, hate speech, and any act capable of disrupting the peace of the state before, during, and after the elections.
Evangelist Farinde also expressed concern over the rising insecurity confronting the nation and called on Nigerians to continue seeking divine intervention for lasting solutions to the security challenges facing the country. She stressed that collective prayers, patriotism, and cooperation with security agencies are necessary to restore peace and stability across Nigeria.
While wishing Muslims a memorable and rewarding Eid-El-Kabir celebration, she prayed that the blessings of the season would bring peace, prosperity, unity, and progress to Osun State and Nigeria as a whole.
