Hon. Folorunso Bamisayemi, a former Commissioner for Education under the administration of Gboyega Oyetola, has resigned his membership from the All Progressives Congress (APC) with immediate effect.
Bamisayemi, a two-term Osun Assembly member, announced his resignation in a letter addressed to the APC Ward Chairman for Kere Ward 09 in the Ife South Local Government Area.
According to the letter, “I hereby resign my membership of the All Progressives Congress. Please note that the resignation takes immediate effect.”
On his verified Facebook page, he wrote, “After weeks of introspection and reflection on recent political developments within the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, I have conclusively resolved to resign my membership of the party with immediate effect.”
“I sincerely appreciate the leadership and members of the party at the State level, Ife Federal Constituency, and Ife South Local Government,” he added.
