Adeleke Named Tinubu’s Osun Campaign Coordinator as Imole Council Targets 1.5 Million Votes

The Imole Campaign Council has welcomed the appointment of Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, as the Osun State Coordinator of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election campaign council, pledging to deliver 1.5 million votes for the President in the forthcoming election.

The appointment was contained in a revised list of the Presidential Campaign Council reportedly released on Monday and made available to Idealplusgist News.

The Imole Campaign Council, in a statement signed by its Director-General, Senator Dr Kamarudeen Olalere Oyewumi, described the appointment as well deserved, assuring President Tinubu that the confidence reposed in Governor Adeleke would not be misplaced.

The council also pledged that Accord Party structures across Osun State would support the President’s re-election bid, expressing confidence in their ability to mobilise voters ahead of the polls.

It further urged the people of Osun State to continue supporting Governor Adeleke, maintaining that backing President Tinubu would also amount to supporting the governor.

The revised campaign council list features several prominent political figures assigned to various leadership and mobilisation positions.

Senator Abdulaziz Yari will serve as Director-General of the campaign council, with Senator Adams Oshiomhole as Deputy Director-General in charge of Mobilisation and Femi Gbajabiamila as Deputy Director-General for Administration.

Governor Hope Uzodimma retains his position as Secretary of the council, while APC National Secretary Senator Ajibola Bashiru and Hadiza Bala-Usman will serve as Deputy Secretary and Assistant Secretary, respectively.

Other notable appointments include FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, named campaign coordinator for Rivers State and the Federal Capital Territory; Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, appointed Director of Finance; and Governors Dapo Abiodun and other designated officials assigned fundraising responsibilities.

Former Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje was named Director of Stakeholder Mobilisation, while former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola will coordinate stakeholder mobilisation in the South-West.

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu, former Minister of Works David Umahi, and Rivers State House of Assembly Speaker Martin Amaewhule also feature in the revised list in various leadership and mobilisation roles.

Dele Alake retains his position as campaign council spokesman, while James Faleke will oversee election planning, coordination and monitoring. Media communications responsibilities have also been assigned to several political figures, including Festus Keyamo and Segun Showunmi.

Reacting to the development, the Imole Campaign Council reiterated its commitment to mobilising support for President Tinubu in Osun State, promising to deliver 1.5 million votes in the forthcoming presidential election.

The council expressed confidence in Governor Adeleke’s leadership of the campaign in the state and called on residents to sustain their support for his administration.

In its statement, the council said it would work towards justifying the confidence placed in the governor, adding that its political structures would participate in efforts to secure support for the President.

The development places Governor Adeleke at the centre of the presidential campaign structure in Osun State, while the Imole Campaign Council’s declaration signals its stated commitment to the re-election effort.
