....Otun Babaloja of Sasa Market commends religious leaders, traditional institution, politicians, market leaders and Oriaye Club 18 for honouring the late Madam Risikat Amoke Yusuff
The Otun Babaloja of Sasa Market, Osogbo, and representative of the Ataoja of Osogboland across markets in Osogbo, Alhaji Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe, has expressed his profound appreciation to dignitaries, religious leaders, community leaders, market stakeholders, politicians and well-wishers who attended the 5th Fidau Prayer organised in honour of the late Alhaja Risikat Yusuff.
The Fidau prayer, which was held on Saturday at Oriaye Compound, Osogbo, brought together prominent personalities from different walks of life who gathered to offer prayers for the repose of the soul of the deceased and to identify with the family during the remembrance programme.
Speaking with journalists shortly after the event, Alhaji Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe described the presence and support of the dignitaries as a demonstration of love, unity and respect for the late Alhaja Risikat Yusuff and her family.
He particularly commended Engr. Sola Oladepo for his leadership and commitment to the sons and daughters of Oriaye Compound, describing his contribution to the community and the success of the programme as worthy of recognition.
Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe also expressed his appreciation to the Chief Imam of Osogbo and Osun State, Sheikh Musa Animasahun, who was represented at the occasion by the Naibul Imam, Sheikh Maruf, and Mufasir Sheikh Abajaoro, as well as other Imams and Alfas who attended the Fidau prayer and joined in praying for the deceased.
He extended his gratitude to Barrister Kunle Rasheed K-Rad, SAN, for his presence and support, as well as the Chief Imam of Ansarudeen Osogbo and his entourage for honouring the invitation.
The Otun Babaloja equally acknowledged the presence and contributions of the politicians who attended the programme, noting that their participation demonstrated solidarity with the family and the Oriaye community.
He further appreciated the Iyaloja’s and Babaloja’s who were present, as well as members of Oriaye Club 18, for their support and commitment to the success of the Fidau prayer.
Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe reserved special appreciation for the Ataoja of Osogboland, His Royal Majesty Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun Larooye II, for what he described as the monarch’s fatherly support towards the success of the programme.
According to him, the traditional ruler’s support and goodwill continue to demonstrate his commitment to the welfare, unity and development of the people of Osogboland.
He noted that the large turnout of dignitaries and members of the community was a reflection of the relationships, goodwill and respect built around the late Alhaja Risikat Yusuff during her lifetime.
Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe therefore thanked everyone who travelled from within and outside Osogbo to attend the 5th Fidau prayer, describing their presence as a source of comfort and encouragement to the bereaved family.
He prayed that Almighty Allah would grant the late Alhaja Risikat Yusuff Aljanatul Firdaus, forgive her shortcomings and grant the family the strength and fortitude to bear her loss.
He also prayed for continued peace, unity and progress in Oriaye Compound, Osogbo, and Osun State at large.
The Chief Imam of Osogboland, Sheikh Musa Animasahun, has commended Alhaji Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe for his unwavering commitment to the progress and development of Osogbo.
He described Alhaji Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe as a true son of the soil who consistently works assiduously for the growth and advancement of the town. According to Sheikh Animasahun, his dedication, selflessness, and contributions to the community make him “one in a million.”
