Nigeria at 66: Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe Congratulates Nigerians, Commends Tinubu Administration on Security, Electricity Improvements ....Market Leader Calls for Completion of Federal Secretariat Osogbo, Applauds Security Agencies for Maintaining Peace Across Osun

The Otun Babaloja of Sasa Market, Osogbo, and representative of the Ataoja of Osogbo across markets in the city, Alhaji Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe, has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the country’s 66th Independence Day anniversary.

In a goodwill message marking the anniversary, Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe extended his warm greetings and best wishes to Nigerians at home and abroad, describing the Independence Day celebration as an opportunity to reflect on the nation’s journey, acknowledge its progress and renew the collective commitment to peace, unity and development.

The respected market leader also commended the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as improvements recorded in the areas of security and electricity supply across the country.

According to him, the relative improvement in security in different parts of the country is significant to the growth of businesses, markets and communities, noting that a peaceful environment remains essential for economic activities and the wellbeing of citizens.

Chief Efe particularly appreciated President Tinubu for the establishment of the Army Depot in Osogbo, as well as the development of military facilities, including the Air Force Base and Army Base in Ile-Ife.

He said the presence and expansion of security institutions within Osun State would contribute to strengthening the security architecture of the state and enhancing the confidence of residents, traders, investors and other stakeholders.

The Osogbo market leader further urged the Federal Government to sustain its attention to Osun State by ensuring the completion of the Federal Secretariat in Osogbo, which he said would bring additional federal government services closer to the people and contribute to economic activities within the state capital.

Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe also expressed appreciation to security and emergency-response agencies operating across Osun State for their contributions toward maintaining law and order.

He specifically acknowledged the efforts of the Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army, Nigerian Air Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Amotekun Corps, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, Nigerian Correctional Service and other relevant agencies.

He commended the personnel of these agencies for their service, sacrifices and continued efforts to protect lives and property, particularly in communities and commercial centres where thousands of people conduct their daily activities.

According to him, traders and business owners require a secure environment to operate successfully, while residents also need peace and stability to pursue their livelihoods.
He therefore called for continued cooperation between security agencies, traditional institutions, market associations, community leaders and members of the public to strengthen intelligence gathering and promote peaceful coexistence throughout the state.

As Nigeria marks 66 years of independence, Chief Efe urged Nigerians to remain committed to peace, unity and the development of the country.
He called on citizens to support initiatives that promote economic growth, security, electricity supply, employment opportunities and improved living conditions, while also urging leaders at all levels to remain responsive to the needs of the people.

He stressed that the development of Nigeria requires collective responsibility, with government, traditional institutions, business communities, market leaders, civil society and ordinary citizens playing complementary roles.

Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe concluded by wishing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the government and people of Osun State, and all Nigerians a peaceful and prosperous Independence Day celebration.

He prayed for continued peace, stability and economic progress across Nigeria, expressing optimism that the country would continue to overcome its challenges and achieve greater development.
