The attention of the Office of Hon. Abdulahi Ayodeji Olaiya (AYONIC), APC Candidate for Osogbo State Constituency, has been drawn to several videos currently circulating widely on social media platforms, purporting that Hon. Olaiya distributed exercise books to members of the public.
We wish to state categorically and unequivocally that Hon. Abdulahi Ayodeji Olaiya (AYONIC) did not carry out, authorize, approve, or participate in any exercise books distribution at any time or at any location. He has no knowledge of the said exercise books or videos and is not in any way connected to the individuals or group behind their production, distribution, or circulation.
For the avoidance of doubt, the exercise books being circulated, which bear the photograph of Hon. Abdulahi Ayodeji Olaiya alongside that of the Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, did not emanate from Hon. Olaiya. The APC candidate neither commissioned nor sanctioned, approved, financed, authorized, or consented to the production of the said exercise books.
The use of Hon. Olaiya's photograph on the exercise books should therefore not be construed as an endorsement of the production or distribution of the materials, nor as evidence of his involvement in the exercise.
Ordinarily, we would have ignored the videos and materials as the handiwork of mischief makers. However, for the sake of the general public, our teeming supporters, and the integrity of the All Progressives Congress (APC), it has become necessary to set the records straight and prevent members of the public from being misled.
We further wish to state clearly that Hon. Abdulahi Ayodeji Olaiya (AYONIC) has no alliance, pact, agreement, or political arrangement with Governor Ademola Adeleke, the Accord Party, or any political associates acting on behalf of the Governor or his party. Any attempt to use the exercise books bearing the photographs of Hon. Olaiya and Governor Adeleke to create an impression of a political alliance or collaboration between them is false and misleading.
The production and circulation of such materials, particularly in a manner capable of creating a false impression of political association, is viewed by the APC candidate's media office as the handiwork of political distractors seeking to create confusion, mislead the public, and cause unnecessary controversy around his political affiliation and commitment to the APC.
Hon. Abdulahi Ayodeji Olaiya remains steadfast in his loyalty to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State. He holds the leadership of the party in high regard and remains committed to the principles, unity, and collective interests of the APC. He will not engage in, authorize, or associate himself with any activity capable of maligning, undermining, or bringing the charismatic leadership of the party into disrepute.
Hon. Olaiya remains firmly committed to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its political platform. His engagements, interventions, and activities are guided by transparency, due process, and accountability. Any empowerment programme, philanthropic gesture, or community intervention genuinely initiated by him is properly coordinated and communicated through his recognized official channels, including the Ayonic Media Team.
We therefore urge members of the public, particularly supporters of the APC and residents of Osogbo State Constituency, not to attach any political meaning or affiliation to the said exercise books or viral videos. The materials did not originate from Hon. Olaiya, and he did not authorize or approve their production or distribution.
We also call on bloggers, media practitioners, and social media users to exercise responsibility and verify information before publishing or sharing materials capable of misleading the public or damaging the reputation of individuals.
While we remain committed to peaceful and issue-based political engagement, we will not hesitate to explore appropriate legal measures against individuals or entities responsible for deliberately associating Hon. Olaiya with activities or political arrangements he neither authorized nor participated in, should the falsehood persist.
Hon. Abdulahi Ayodeji Olaiya remains focused on his commitment to the people of Osogbo State Constituency and on offering credible, purposeful, and people-oriented representation under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
