Man shares younger brother’s scheduled message, revealing the he@rtbreak!ng reason behind his repeated ₦2,000 requests

"My younger brother used to call me every Friday, asking for ₦2,000. I always complained that he was becoming too dependent on me.

One Friday, I got a&gry and told him, “Please, stop calling me for money. I'm not your father.” He went quiet and replied, “Okay, bro. Sorry.”

That was the last time he ever asked me for money. Two weeks later, he was involved in an acc!d£nt.

While going through his phone at the hospital, I found a message he had saved but never sent to me. It read:

“Bro, I know things are d!ff!cult for you too. I only ask because you're the only person I feel comfortable asking. I don't want to tell mom I'm str&ggl!ng.”

I br0ke down. But what destroyed me was the message he had scheduled for the following Friday:

“Bro, don't worry. This is the last time I'll disturb you. I just wanted to eat something nice with you.”

He wasn't asking for money anymore. He was asking for his brother's time. And I had mistaken it for a burden..."
