“Obi Cubana Didn’t Pose For Snap With Our Staffs” – EFCC Debunks Viral Photo

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has disclaimed a trending photograph in social media said to have been taken by socialite Obi Cubana in its office.

The Socialite finally regained his freedom from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, on Thursday night after three nights of interrogation.

During his stay with the EFCC, he was quizzed over his alleged involvement in money laundering and tax fraud, among other illicit financial deals.

A picture of the popular businessman posing with a crowd has now gone viral, with many describing those in the picture as staff of the EFCC.

The picture shows Obi Cubana in a selfie with a crowd described as staff of the EFCC.

However, EFCC spokesman Wilson Uwujaren has debunked the photo.

“The said picture captioned: EFCC Crew poses for a quick photograph with billionaire socialite and businessman, Obi Cubana, was not taken in EFCC facility and the people therein are unknown to the Commission.

“The Commission warns the public not to be misled by another mischievous stunt by Cubana’s publicists”, Uwujaren said.
