Avoid Violence at all cost, NYCN Chairman charges Osun Youth.

Bearly 48 hours before the General election the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Osun State Chapter has urged the youths of the State not to be used as instruments of destruction before during and after the general election. Comrade Abdulazeez Ismail Abiodun said these after a security meeting at the Police State headquarters in Osogbo on Thursday 23rd of February 2023, the meeting which also had heads of various political parties in attendance also identify some sensitive security flash points within the State.

Comrade Ismail while appreciating the efforts of the security agencies to maintain peace and tame violent perpetrators also urges the Nigeria Police to embark on the redeployment of divisional police officers during elections just as has been done for commissioners of police across the Nation...

In the same vein, Comrade Ismail condemns the killings that happened recently in the Ijesa axis of the State which have claimed the lives of promising youths and the loss of properties has been caused by different political groups in the area.

The State Youth leader however appeals to the politicians who have before the election send their wards and family's abroad so as not to be a victim of the violence they initiated.

"No politician worth dying for" he added.

Let's maintain the peaceful process we had during the last governorship election.
