ELEMO-AGA of Ikirun Declares Intention To Join Osun APC, Host Party Chairman, Tajudeen Lawal

In commemoration of the one year Anniversary of the President Bola Tinubu-led administration, the Elemo-Aga of Ikirun land, Chief Moruf Onifade on Wednesday, May 29th 2024 hosted Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Osun State Chapter, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal at his Ikirun residence.

In a Press release signed by a chieftain of the party in Odo Otin Loca Government, Prince Adeniran Kilomodemo Ibitoye (KLM),  it was stated that the Host, Elemo-Aga declared his intention to join the APC as he also charged members to shun factions.

The Chairman's entourage include members of the state working committee, which include the state women leaders, state youth leaders, among others.

KLM said the Osun APC Chairman during the courtesy visit admonished leaders and members of the party to eschew all forms of factions and embrace unity among themselves.

"There is power in unity and my admonition to us all is to embrace oneness, we should bury all hatchets in the interest of the party, as we all know that there is a very huge task ahead of us and that should be our focus" 

On the first year anniversary of the Tinubu-led administration, Sooko Lawal expressed confidence that the current Government has demonstrated that it takes courage to implement some policies in the interest of the country at large.

"We all need to understand that the pains been endured by Nigerians is necessary for the sake of the future generations and it is glaring the the Government policies are beginning to pay off gradually"

In his remarks, the Elemo-Aga, who is also the Oluomo of Ikirun Land expressed delight in hosting the APC Chairman and other Chieftains and members of the party present as he pledged his unalloyed loyalty to the party.

"It is my utmost delight to host the Osun APC Chairman and all members present and I want to urge us all to prioritize unity because, our strength lies in the unity of purpose, also, I want to use this occasion go declare my intention to join the APC, which I see as the party to reckon with.

Meanwhile, an Islamic musician, Lady Monsurat Asikomitito was on stand with her band team to add glamour to the courtesy visit as she serenaded everyone present at the venue with her music. Also, members of the party dined, wined and displayed spiritvof onesness as advised by the Osun APC Chairman, Sooko Lawal.
